Downloading ships aren't working

SO I downloaded a Cis quad turbolaser turret and it's in a .sment file yet it won't let me put it in the catalog.

Second launcher screen, click 'tools' then 'Catalog manager' Import the sment with that.

thats what i've been doing. did you not read what I said?

It won't update the list after you import it. Check your BP folder instead for it. If that doesn't work, rename the filename.sment to filename.zip and install it manually.

no i'm saying I downloaded it but it won't let me put it in the catalog folder at all like i'll drag it into the import file yet it says theres no file with that name

Install it manually, like i've said several times. Change it to a ZIP and extract it to your blueprints folder. That should install it. Mimic the file structure of the other blueprints.
If it's not letting you place the files in the folder, make sure it isn't 'read only'

Where did you get the file from?
This looks like a broken DL, it should either throw an error, or at least create a blueprint with that name.

Sometimes this happens when you export your ship and rename the file afterwards, as all path information is stored non-relative this can result in broken imports.

However, unpacking the sment like a zip and getting the folder directly into the blueprints folder will work then.
If there is no folder to extract, contact the one that gave you the file to fix the upload.
Or please point me/us to the file, and we can check if the download is broken, or something on your side may be wrong.

I was able to download and install this turret with no issues. So not sure what the problem is


and the file I used is from the starmade community download area

I don't know what happened, but the next day it started working again and that really confuses me
