    Suggestion 1: Mass
Right now, mass is pretty pointless to know because as long as you know the block count, you know the mass. Instead, why not have a variation of mass in blocks? Such as hull blocks being 7.5 , standard armour blocks being 10, advanced and crystal armour blocks being 20, etc.

For hull and armour blocks, shape affects the mass too. For example, wedges having half the mass of it's block counterpart.

    Suggestion 2: More shapes
More shapes for blocks, such as a half block (you know, like slabs in Minecraft). Half blocks can be used for interiors when you need at least some space so the character can go through a room full of power capacitors, reactors, whatsoever.

    Suggestion 3: Hitbox
In complement on the previous suggestion, the hitbox of the character must be more accurate.

the only issue with that is that it's sorta pointless, and would utterly destroy our current classification systems; more block types are interesting, but certainly not a priority as of now

With a variation of mass in blocks it would be great to have the speed and maneuverability as an integer or option in the blockbehaivior.cfg
For example: a 10k mass ship has more a maneuvarability than a 50k ship.
    Wouldnt this be nice?
But yeah the mass and sound and finetunings of the game should come at last.
    Always remember its an alpha.

wtf its still an alpha? Mr Maincat, your progging this game for about 8-10 years now how long should it be a f*** alpha? xD

Because new core elements are still being added.

Alpha: New major elements still being added.
Beta: No new major elements added, testing is to iron out kinks and squash bugs
    Gold: Release version

And there's only so much work one guy can do.

I can say this again. According to their twitter account, they said that they have 2 new programmers.
Well yes, but that is going forwards. The question was why its been in alpha so long, the answer is that there was only 1 guy on it all this time.

Hopefully this will be the start of a snowball rolling. More people paying for it on steam or directly, more money to hire programmers, more cool stuff feeding into more people buying the game, etc etc etc.
