Bloody Pirates Refuse to Spawn

    I see folks talking about them here, and I see all sorts of Let's Play videos on youtube, but I've been playing for days now, and while I've found a few pirate bases, I've never found a pirate ship.

    How does one configure the server to spawn pirates, if it isn't enabled by default?

    Elsewhere I was told these settings were involved, they are set as shown (defaults)

    ENABLE_SIMULATION = true //Universe AI simulation
    CONCURRENT_SIMULATION = 256 //How many simulation groups may be in the universe simultaniously (performance)
    ENEMY_SPAWNING = true //Enables enemy spawing
    SIMULATION_SPAWN_DELAY = 420 //How much seconds between simulation spawn ticks
    Anything else that could be preventing the pirates from spawning?

    I can spawn them with the /spawn_mobs command, but it just isn't the same, if they aren't a wandering hazard.

    As far as I know, Natural spawning is upright broken since 0.14 :u Probably due to the customizable difficulty that Schema tried to add (Not that its a bad thing)

    They need at least one blueprint that they can use. Open the catalog screen and make sure that at least one blueprint there has the permission 'Enemy spawnable' (or similar).

    Gotta pretty vast array of ships, including the default one they are supposed to be using - where would I go, specifically, to make sure each is usable by the pirates?

    DEFAULT_BLUEPRINT_ENEMY_USE = true, as per the default settings.

    Is there anyway to get older variants of this game? As without them, there just isn't much to do.

    It works, its mostly a problem with enabled blueprints to be enemy spawnable.
