Unlike the Puma the Ocelot is a proper shuttle built for long distance short duration travel. More than anything though the Ocelot is a status symbol. Shuttle craft are work horses designed to ferry passengers and cargo between ships, ports, and planets and the Ocelot doesn't excel at either of these task. Most ship captains would never dream of spending their hard earned credits on this hotrod so anybody who does has something to prove or simply too much money.

The Ocelot does fulfil one specific niche however, Speed! She has a multi charge FTL drive tuned for long distance with a low spool time to get you across the galaxy as fast as possible. In sub light the twin fusion torches maintain a greater than 10:1 thrust to mass ratio while unloaded and are able to produce short bursts of increased acceleration.

The term short duration means the craft lacks the life support and on board facilities for extended operations in the void. The base model only has 4 crew seats but additional room in the back compartment can be utilized for crew or storage depending on the needs of the registered owner. The back compartment also doubles as an airlock for the use of the rear USD.
