M.A.M.M.O.T.H. (Mission Adaptive Module Mount Or Transport Housing)
The Mammoth is no ordinary freighter, she is nothing short of a flying apartment complex. The Mammoth is specifically designed for a colony support role. It's built to carry four (M)ission (A)daptive (M)odules, be able to land and allow access to the modules when on the surface. Each of the four bays are designed to be operated from inside the modules to make docking and departing a smooth operation. When the side gates are open the MAMs are easily accessed from the ground and displays the MAM within. Additional the Mammoth also has for auxiliary landing pads capable of accepting M-826 Doves or whatever else the mission requires. When not carrying modules the Mammoth has four smaller ports in each compartment to further expand her capabilities.
The Mammoth has very powerful engines that should be capable of lifting anything you could imagine to load her up with. She has a dry weight of 11686.0 and a TMR of 5.7 when empty.
Even without it's modules the Mammoth is still has all the amenities for missions into deep space including a med bay, aeroponics, galley, two dining halls, cargo bay + crate mounts, and lots of crew accommodations. This flying barracks has accommodations for 190 crew and staff, 2 officer quarters, and a VIP suite. Not being a military ship even the most basic barracks are roomier and the upper deck is reserved for high status officials and features roomy single bed quarters, access to the observation deck, and a private washroom.

Being a civilian colony support The Mammoth is not equipped with any offensive weapons but does feature an array of defensive turrets including four L4-1 AM2-1 Standard Light Turrets, six L0 Phalanx PD Turrets and twelve L0 AM2-1 Light Deck Guns. Military vessels or civilian escort frigates should always be assigned to protection detail of the Mammoth.

The MAMs:
Most M.A.M.s will have two control closets on board to interface with the Mammoths docking bays. These controls can open and close the side walls or hangar doors/docking clamps.
WARNING: Do not attempt to undock a MAM with the docking clamps engaged. The docking clamps are plexdoors that sit right up against the modules and WILL lag your game/server
When the light is red the main hatch is open and the docking collar is not engaged
When the green light is activated the outer door and display shields are open
