The Colonial Guard recognizing a need to update their fleet began assessing both replacement craft and refits for their existing vessels. During the process it was decided to opt for a new sleeker and faster shuttle for personnel transportation and thus the Aabaxi Shuttlecraft was born.

Produced by one of the many aero-space ship manufacturing companies within the Republic, the Aabaxi is named after an elegant and fast predator native to one of Turia's planets and is both cost effective and superior to older shuttle models used by the Guard and the various planetary militia's of the Republic.
