Well, apparently Battlemechs are between like 8 and 14 meters tall, which isn't much to work with in Starmade terms.
This guy works though. And he's probably as close to scale as one can get a functioning mech with the kinds of designs Battletech uses (and the Timberwolf seemed easiest to reproduce because of the thick, rectangular torso). I did it all in dk grey standard armor (tried advanced and it ended up with like .6 thrust) so it is easy to swap out a few of the armor patches with colors and 'faction' your mechs.
It's basically a small, armored fighter in combat terms. They do well enough for being a 50 mass entity, but it's kind of sad to make them fight each other... takes quite a while to make a kill.
So it can be effective against similarly sized entities, but since no one uses similarly sized entities in MP, the once mighty Timberwolf is now more practical as a decoration.
Can be used as a fun lander - it actually balances pretty well on its feet under gravity, and with a little tweaking to the thrust balance it escapes gravity just fine.
