TIE/IN interceptor

    TIE/IN interceptor 2.0

    TIE/IN Interceptor

The TIE/IN interceptor is the successor to the TIE/LN starfighter. By the battle of Endor, Emperor Palpatine had replaced 20% of his fighter force with the TIE/IN interceptor. It became more and more common to see these upgraded fighters in fleets opposed to the aging TIE/LN. Lighter with heavier weaponry coupled with speed and unmatched maneuverability (except from the A-wing), this fighter is an upgrade from its predecessor. Boasting four wing tip blasters, this fighter provides the punch necessary for similarly sized fighters. In the cockpit housing, the 2 hard point locations for the blasters from its previous models remains. Missile Launchers have also been fitted to the wings for fighter combat.

    Special Characteristics:
Mounts 4 wingtip blasters with 2 missile launchers and a special push computer for near impossible maneuvers when you need to outflank the enemy. Also is fitted with the logic hatch canopy as its predecessor.

    Version 2 Refit:
This is a complete redesign of my original TIE/IN motivated by the recent addition of slabs with extreme emphasis on role play. In re examining of blueprints and schematics, it was necessary to attempt to reduce the overall size of the fighter from my previous version. However, when reducing size means I'm reducing fire power as well. Other cons are these are now much more easy to knock out and overheat, but that was the trend with Imperial fighters. Small, cramped, and next to no shielding. It is my hope that you enjoy this new update. Additionally in the TIE/IN, the wings are not merely for show. In fact, they are actually docked cores powering the ship and have logic in place that is supposed to auto reset the clocks controlling the power supply computers in the event of a server restart or loading in. Experiences may vary on laggy servers. If they do not reset, you can open up the plex doors or enter their cores and reset the logic by just pressing 'r' on the appropriate delay block.

    Stats:
    Mass: 162
    Length: 32m, Height: 17m, Width: 21m

    Thrust: 229.4
    Shields: 220
    Structure HP: 21,840
    Armor HP: 65,550

I just love all your ships so far...
One of my absolute favourites of the TIE Series of ships, Brilliant work, amazing use of up-scaling to sacrifice no little detail, and amazing use of rails and slabs to make every part of this ship a viable piece of it's systems
I wish you had made all four of these a single download pack but since that is not the case I'll post my review here on my favorite of them.
This is the most satisfying little fighter to fly and when i spawned in sixteen of them as pirates they ripped through my big falcon! I'll take a hundred please!
Here's my one gripe though, and it is a big one: YOU CANNOT OPEN THE HATCH FROM OUTSIDE!!!!!!! to bring this on a server I'll have to first save a blueprint with the hatch already open so i can get in the damn thing. and also i'll remove the display module with your signature as without it the view from the core is just perfect. nice job sir.

I have uploaded a picture of the location of the button that controls the hatch from the outside of the ship. Each fighter was equipped with it although the TIE bomber's was more prominent.
