TFS Nexus
The Tygeria Fleet Shipyards Nexus is a tough little miner and a workhorse for a couple of well off miners. It has a mining array capable of eating through most asteroids in seconds, and enough storage space for a medium length mining trip.
The salvage array of the Nexus consists of two waffled 50-block long arrays offset to generate a total coverage blanket of energy for salvage ops (Approximately 52k of salvage modules, with a salvage power of 25.6 blocks/second, and the total number of beams is 1029, so it can be too large a miner for some servers).
It also has a defensive weapons complement, consisting of two six-barrel rapid fire AMC cannons (with Punch-Through support) and a four barrel lock-on missile tube system (with 25% Ion Effect support) for use as pirate deterrent. For missile defense, the Nexus sports an array of 12 AMS turrets on the dorsal and ventral sides of the ship. It also has a moderate amount of shields to keep the crew safe during combat ops. The weapons are not enough for PvP, but it should be enough for keeping default pirates and light NPC factions off the crew's back.
The crew accommodations are rather spartan, but it has enough space for a crew of two in relative comfort.
The cargo space is located directly aft of the cockpit, flanked on both sides by the crew accommodations. It can hold up to 103k of cargo volume.
In addition to acting as a miner on it's own, the Nexus is also equipped with a single mining drone for for fleet mining operations. The drone is docked on the belly of the Nexus and can be dropped off while piloting the ship itself. The drone has 13k of cargo volume on it, but wihout shields and weapons it cannot handle combat ops.
