This is one version of the Klingon D3, a light frigate/scout predecessor to the wildly successful D5 and D7 series of Klingon designed mid-range battle cruisers employed by both the Klingons and Romulans in the original StarTrek series. Pirates on my server have taken to flying these in preference to the lighter isanth fighters. They are much harder to kill, but so much more satisfying when you do. Decently armed and shielded, these ships have one major weakness. The core block is in the "neck" if you can get around the bulbous head to shoot it.
