Interchangeable set of recessed turrets that goes with my Advanced AMS turret for full details:
Advanced Hailstorm AMS Turret
You can confirm turret types with master blocks are on top and the slave blocks are on the front, effects on the rear. Each group is continuous so shift V and find replace will work if other combinations are desired.
Each one uses advanced armour on the turret assembly where possible on forward or upper faces. Still under the mass required for maximum turret rotation in both axis.
Full 360 degree rotation in both axis.
Mounting base
Recessed housing mount designed to have one layer of ship hull over it.
Has thruster's to move it into position. Reserve shields for when main ship shields are down. Shield recharge and some power. If the mounting base is removed the actual turret due to no rotation limits will have a far greater field of fire but be easier to shoot. The rail docker is located underneath in the centre.
Main Turret core and bobby AI is located underneath the vertical rotation and between the horizontal and vertical rotation parts. Computers are on the back of the vertical rotation part.
Warning: Exiting either of the turret cores will get you stuck. Mounting base is fine.
All non-AMS turrets are based on 18 blocks each for master/slave/effect. You can use a find and replace to change the systems out quickly if you need a new effect or version. Be aware that the missile turret has its master and slave computers rotated up.
Spawn the set in jump into the housing of the turret you want and save a blueprint of it.
