    Description:


    The Hellebarde-class Light Corvette was designed by Riesland's engineers to fit in the tight docking spaces of dreadnoughts and fleet carriers, while still packing a punch. The Hellebarde, or Halberd, is a recent addition to Riesland's fleets, having seen very little combat since it was first introduced. However, its specifications are respectable for its weight category.

    Its twin rapid-fire, armor-piercing cannons can pierce several meters of advanced armor in a single shot. It is also armed with twenty side-firing guided interceptor missile launchers split into two salvos of ten, capable of stripping the shields off of even a Heavy Corvette in very short order, before ripping effortlessly through their armor with their enhanced-blast warheads.

    The Hellebarde's fourteen point-defense turrets make short work of incoming missiles, allowing it to fulfill its role as a defensive screening vessel as part of a combined-arms strategy.

    Alone, these vessels aren't particularly impressive. But when they work together in formation, combining their substantial firepower and turret coverage, they're devastating, especially when confronted with foes reliant on missile-based armaments. Their small frontal profile makes them difficult targets when facing directly into enemy fire, but their shielding is only mediocre, with much of the ship's volume dedicated to engines, power and weapons.

    The ship is fitted with four slow-charging jump drives, allowing it to jump up to four times in quick succession. It also has a powerful jamming array that renders it impossible to lock onto.

    The crew quarters are sparse, with a bridge, engineering area and sleeping quarters for eight, with some storage lockers. The rear mid-deck features retractable boarding walkways.
