A project I have been working on for a few months now on and off, slowly gathering details of the most block efficient power generator setups, and have come up with this. 80 docked generators made of 594 power generators each producing 745164 e/s (1254.5 e/block)
Theoretically, with 98% efficiency, this ship's total power output with its docked generators is roughly 218 regen/block, an unprecedented level able to allow the ship to permacloak and radar jam. (needs at least 150 to break even)
Currently, I have two fins set up with wireless transmitters to test setups with and without cannon slaved energy transfer beams.
The bottom of the two fins is the cannon slave design, consisting of a total of 3412 blocks and providing an average of 600k regen/second to the main ship, producing a total of ~ 175 regen/block.
The top fin is a pure energy transfer beam design. Its output is a bit more spikey and requires lots more capacitors to keep it from sucking power out of the main ship.
It produces an average of 500k e/s with 3232 blocks, which is only just enough to break even
I need a little assistance optimizing the fin for maximum performance so I can use the design for the rest of the fins...
