KP-339 Starter shuttle

    KP-339 Starter shuttle 2017-02-20

A simple and easily manufactured shuttle fit for multiple roles. The Kestler Planetary 339 is commonly used by private businesses, explorers, and even mercenaries to transport cargo, mine and salvage and start new colonies far from home.

The spacious interior comes standard with a cockpit including computer displays, core computer and control area with workbench, and living quarters for two in the bow. The aft section consists of life support control, engine control and engineering, and compressed cargo storage for up to 5k tons of material. In the center are a toilet and shower, and internal turret access.

It includes two USD docking ports with airlocks and extendable landing gear and lift for landing on planets, and comes standard with a basic sensor suite and jump drive, as well as two defensive beam-80 turrets to fend off pirates. It also comes standard with overdrive injectors and gravity negation systems to aid maneuverability.

There are two standard models available on the market; an unfurnished manufacturer's model that has space to customize systems in the bow and below the airlocks, and an exploratory model that is fitted with mining/salvaging areas, additional cargo space for ore, and two missiles, and a radar jammer, generally referred to as the "exploratory" or "expeditionary" model.

Because Kestler Planetary declared bankruptcy and sold the design specifications for this and many other craft to public information venues, it is generally accepted that any private business or individual may manufacture and sell their products. As a consequence, no official tech support or warranty is provided with the purchase of a KP-339 shuttle.
