    Intracorp F102 Space Eagle 2015-05-20

    This is the current pinnacle of Intracorp Fighter Design. Designed to operate defensively around both planets and stations, this stunning example of shipcraft boasts the widest range of features yet seen in any ship of its class.


    The F102 Space Eagle is a multirole air and space superiority fighter. Equipped with a new weapon hardpoint docking system, she can be kitted out for various missions in minutes: Anything from strategic bombing to long range scouting, to tactical scramble and interception.


    The totally revolutionary computer system is the most complex to date, rivaling those aboard the Tiger Class cruiser. These systems are needed to coordinate the maximized precision enabled atmospheric control surfaces, and total battlespace mapping technology.
    The Space Eagle supports full shielding and Sensor stealth systems.


    This fighter supports a daring throwback to atmospheric flight, retractable, wheeled landing gear. This enables stealth takeoffs without the use of antigrav fields using only the lifting surfaces, to conceal the location of their base. Few other craft are able to lift entirely without antigrav, and fewer still of those are well suited for long-term space flight.

    It should here be noted that this particular model is pre-set for the ground attack role. This comes with 4x Heavy rocket pods, and dual 40mm plasma cannon, in addition to the standard 20mm particle cannon.

    ((OOC Notes:
    I am shipping the ground attack variant because it seems to work best with the atmospheric fighter vibe. Strategic bombing comes with Warhead blocks, which MAY explode accidentally and embarrass everyone. Internal space is at a BIT of a premium, so I had to choose between the hyperdrive and the rocket controls: I can put all docked weapons systems on the same trigger and have just enough room for an operational jump system. Lock-on rockets are a BIT of a trick: I had to make turrets that were unable to pivot. They are not included, because they are not actually controllable (as far as I know) and just fire automatically at the closest enemy you are facing. Great for dogfighting, less great for RP.
