    Terran Hegemony Vengeance Class cruiser
This is the practical Introduction to the ship. For the lengthy RP-oriented intro, please visit the Ixalite's Shipyard thread ( https://starmadedock.net/threads/ixalites-shipyard.30803/ )

This is a stealth cruiser, who's primary armament is a large number of deploy-able warhead based missiles. The ship is capable of full cloak and jamming, or powerful scanning by changing the reactor settings.

These missiles, of which the ship has 48, currently do NOT WORK. The AI will not fire them, and when you fire them yourself, they will not attempt to ram enemy ships with their warheads. Additionally, there is a chance that any missile may have a brief AI-Spasm on launch, causing it to detonate by contacting the parent ship. (this most often happens when launching missiles in the presence of enemy ships, with the missile AI active. Launching without AI is safe, as is launching without nearby targets)
All this said, the missiles are great for RP, and closely resemble the ICBMs launched by submarines.

The Hegemony cruiser's other weapons include four homing missiles for "close range" engagements fired from tubes in the bow, as well as dual cannons on popup turrets on each side. These cannon are reasonably powerful cannon + beam weapons, and do respectable damage to targets (20k) The missiles are pretty light (12 k) but again, this ship is not intended for straight up combat, even in RP settings.

The ONLY defenses the ship boasts are 6x point defense turrets, also on popup mounts. Unlike other point defense solutions, these turrets are actually pretty powerful, volley firing 25 damage shots at a very high rate of fire. The ship lacks deflector shields for lore reasons.

The ship even lacks armor, although critical areas and the bow region are given a layer of "insulation" between the layers of light "stealth" plating. Still, even fighter scale weapons can prove a significant threat to this ship.

Like many of my larger ships, this cruiser carries a pair of shuttles in a concealed bay on the ventral side. As this ship is nominally a "lower technology level", it lacks personal transporters.

Like many of my ships, this one has RP-related logic gimmicks. The first is shown here, the lava cores of the engines rotate within their pods. If this is not working on your ship, the aft center has a door block, behind which is a reset button which should get them working again.

The second, and slightly more exciting gimmick is the SMD Docking ring cover. As was pointed out to me, SMD docking does not work unless it is a part of the parent ship, and represents a "security issue" for ships that carry it, as boarding ships can easily use that docking point. The answer comes from use of a retractable hatch cover which merges seamlessly into the hull when not in use.
(An important note: This ship has a VERY large number of entities and docked rail objects. If your computer begins having issues, as mine does, you may have to be looking at the core of the door (above the airlock in the interstitial space) for the rail to finish closing. This is very annoying, but not something I know how to fix in this version of the game [where did the "reload entity" command go?])

All in all, this is a fun ship for lore reasons, but not one to make a part of an NPC fleet. Someday, with AI crew members able to be programmed to operate logic blocks when in combat and AI that can understand that the bomb on its nose is supposed to bump into targets, (and with AI capable of using stealth drive) this could be a useful vessel. With AI able to ram, it could be useful on an RP server. As is, it is a curiosity and work not of art, but of craft.
