H2A6-Cherokee

    H2A6-Cherokee v0.2

The H2A6-Cherokee is a light frigate designed to haul cargo in and out of hostile territories. I've tried before to build ships with a conventional freighter form, but only recently feel like I got somewhere decent with the aesthetic. Also I was watching a lot of Firefly while building this. The ship is a kind of Serenity-inspired project, built for small teams and odd jobs.

The H2A6-Cherokee comes equipped with five gatling cannons, four homing missile arrays, a shield depletion beam, and two cannon turrets. It's also is kitted out with a large salvage beam for mining excursions.

The H2A6-Cherokee with landing struts deployed - and some cargo drones
There must have been some changes to how buttons are wired because I wasn't able to get them to link to the core (please PM me if you know anything about this change - haven't played in awhile). Once I resolve this issue the ship will be capable of deploying its landing struts. The H2A6-Cherokee also comes equipped with a descending dock in the cargo area. Large cargo modules can be docked on both sides of vessel.

There's still a bit of space toward the back of the ship which I left hollow. I'm not a very talented logician, but might try to do some interesting in that space at some point.

I love the look of this build. There's nothing like a bright, flashy, well built ship. :) Well done!
Very cool. I love the aesthetics of this, the bright contrasting colors are really nice to look at. There's some simple stuff that you kinda messed up (when you walk down the ramp from the core room to the storage space, you get stuck on the grates.) but that's really no issue.

I'm unsure if there is any logic for the "onboard OS," I wasn't able to find any it if there was. Some people are doing pretty cool stuff with this sort of thing, it might be worth looking at @Stormraven's "Making AI more interesting" thread in the logic section. I don't know how much you know about logic, but if you want to learn, you can always PM me.
