    Grinder class salvage barge 1.1

The Grinder class salvage vessel contains an elliptical salvage array with a major axis of 63 blocks and a minor axis of 31 blocks. The salvage array is backed by an antimatter cannon array large enough to provide a 87% decrease in cooldown rate between salvage beam fires, allowing for near continuous fire.

Inside it has two levels with functioning lifts both port and starboard between them. The upper level is largely empty although does contain some plex storage.

The lower level contains the ship core and the salvage computer. Near the salvage computer there is a plex storage that should be linked to catch all the salvage from the array. This level opens into a small hangar bay that contains a runabout shuttle. The fit is snug and the shuttle must be guided in and out of the bay on rails.

The shuttle is equipped with remote controllers allowing the pilot to open and close the bay door as well as operate the rail in both directions. It also includes two antimatter cannons as well as missile system. Each of these systems is backed by a 1:1 antimatter cannon support reducing cooldown time to essentially 0. It comes with a small shield and adequate but not exceptional thrust.

The Grinder and runabout shuttle are both equipped with jumpdrives, the Grinder maintains 2 such systems (in case a quick exit needs to follow a quick entrance).

Defensively the Grinder contains sports a shield at approximately 54K units strong (with a slow recharge however so don't hang out too long) and 8 automated turrets providing complete coverage of the sphere around the vessel.
