Based off of Jaaskinal's Small Chaindrive. I didn't touch the logic much.

Disclaimer: Does not have thrusters for convenience and does not generate its own power. The "dockable" part is more of a requirement.

This 3x3x6 Shield Generator allows ships to have a separate shield generating entity on board. The ship the Shield Generator is docked on can generate shields at maximum efficiency while under fire and even while shields are normally on 10 second recovery.

The Shield Generator is more efficient as size increases as it does not waste as much block space on a Ship Core, Rail Docker, Shield Supply Computer, and Cannon Computer per docked Shield Generator. I would recommend making larger versions of this to increase efficiency.

Honestly, this more of a reference than an actual thing to put on your ship. Just make it bigger and better. Just don't forget to put Shield Capacitors on it.

    Shield Capacity: 220
Shield Regen: 214 per second (it wouldn't be a perfect rectangular prism and dockable if I made it 220, could be better if I was better with logic)

Note that there is currently a glitch that displays the ship as "Under Fire" and regenerating at 25% instead of full. It still regenerates 214 per second, despite the notification (can be seen while inside ship). Bug is confirmed to be fixed eventually: T292. Thanks to Mork2 for bringing this to my attention.

As I've stated before, I absolutely love practical designs in the logic section. There's only so many airlocks you need. That being said, despite the slight reduction in efficiency it would offer, I think a simple logic clock would be better, as well as having it be self powered. The advantage of self powered docked technology can not be understated, power is a very valuable resource to use from the main ship; it either has to come from docked generators or block power on larger ships. Neither of which are paticularly efficient, but you can get amazingly efficient power on things like this, and things quite a bit larger.
Great compact design, a logic clock could further reduce the size & entity count for a minimum size injector, but as a proof of concept for larger designs it's definitely better to use a rail based clock.

Would recommend self powering any larger generators with enough power capacitance & reactors as it needs to be stable (and therefore not going over the 2mil e/s mark, making the ideal max generator output for shields ~200k/s)
