With the debut of the Adamant, Bro Star Manufacturing felt it was finally time to refit the Destro to its former role of Gunship, to provide Fleet Support as the Adamant lays waste to every asteroid in its path. Here is the Destro Retro.
Offensive - The Salvage Array has been completely stripped out, to make room for a variety of weaponry. The Ion Beam will quickly drain the shields of enemy ships. Piercing Cannons will tear armor to shreds. Punch-Through Railguns will penetrate deep into exposed systems, doing substantial damage to them. And of course, a full complement of standard Lock-On Missiles.
Defensive - The Destro Retro has Ion Defense and Radar Jamming, both of which can be employed full-time during active combat. Live pilots will have no worry of Power depletion; even the onboard AI is unlikely to run the ship completely dry, though it will push the envelope close to the edge. And that's assuming it even knows how to even operate a Radar Jammer. We at Bro Star Manufacturing are not sure that it is so clever. Also featured are a set of four Omni-Directional Gyro AMTs, each of which is worth two due to their increased field of view and range of motion.
Supplemental - The Destro Retro has a Universal Standard Dock on the portside, as well as a modest Primary Jump Drive. The Cargo Bay has been replaced with a new Primary Thruster, providing a bit of increased performance over the Destro Miner. Though speaking of mining, the Destro Retro does feature a small auxiliary Salvage Array attached to the starboard Armor Wing. Assuming that AI Fleets ever figure out that mining an asteroid involves firing a Salvage Computer at the asteroid, and not repeatedly slamming into it headfirst (as they are stubbornly prone to attempting by default), then this could be of use in the future.
Additionally, Blinking Lights Logic has been moved to the access hallway for convenient maintenance. The outer hull of the ship itself has received a slight makeover as well.
