The Demeter is used as a military standard transport ship. The engines are build pretty similar to one on bigger ship. She may not have much maneuverability with this setup but still reaches pretty high sublight topspeeds.
The ship has gravitational thrusters (stop effect) to stabilize her on planets and a small retractable platform to improve the extraction range a bit.
It was considered to install some defence weapons but in the was dropped, as such a small shuttle didn't seem capable of hosting some wich are sufficent enough.
