I surrounded my shipyard with a loose sphere of these things. Suddenly with the last update I'm getting a LOT more pirates...
I'm building happily alone in my own little universe when I notice my interface includes a thick circle of red arrows. In build mode I peeked outside to find a scene of utter pirate slaughter. The defense satellites were catching pirates in their crossfire, and slicing them to ribbons. Red indicators winked to blue while I watched Isanth chunks drift past like snowflakes... Net damage to shipyard and active build? ZERO.
