Dagram Shipyards - The Turtle

Dagram Shipyards - The Turtle 1.0

    About:

Dagram Shipyard's Turtle is a ship made for flying past enemy bases at full speed, dropping down a shower of small missiles.

On the bottom there is eight single-axis turrets with M- computers, allowing the pilot to simply fly over a base and slowly turn around before flying over again.

The Turtle has good enough shields to hang around for a few minutes, though this is not recommended due to the low rate of fire and poorer accuracy.

Inside you will find four crew's quarters, each with a medical and storage unit and a bed, a table with four seats and a antique ice chandelier, four transporter pads, and a lot of stairs...

    Lore:

The Turtle is the first ship made by Dagram Shipyards and the low budget has affected the ship. The most noticeable areas affected by the budget are the heating ventilation on the sides, not being the standard colour or design Dagram uses.

The ship's main thrusters are actually only the four rear ones, all the other thrusters were strapped on with large foot-thick metal strips after using a machine the works like a giant soldering iron to make sure it stuck to the ship. All this work had to be put in after they realised that the ship turned too slow to be useful. Though, adding more thrust resulted in a need for more power, requiring Dagram to add on some power reactor cases with the same method used for the extra thrust.

The eight turrets on the bottom used to pivot on two axis, however when Dagram shot them to test them out one of them turned unexpectedly and hit the station holding the shipyard with a bomb. Dagram Shipyards was required to remove the axis of rotation allowing aiming side-to-side if they were to keep using the station's shipyard.

The Turtle got its name from the shape of the Bridge, giving the exterior a turtle-like appearance. It also has enough rooms to function as a mobile house.

A normal view of The Turtle.

A view of the bottom, you can barely see the non-standard ventilation system on the outside beside each turret.

A view of the side of the ship, notice the space for turrets and other addons to the sides of the door.

The lower area inside the ship.

A view out the rear window, if you walk forwards and to the left or right and then turn around you will end up in the lower area with the core and transporters.

Opposite of the rear end we have the Bridge, here you can find storage space, a medical unit, re-calibrate thrusters, and look boss in-front of computers with no function!

The interior of one of the rooms, the others are identical, aside from different alien plants. The camera man walked too far back and fell into the Glow Trap in this photo.

The meeting area with the table, it is located right above the transporter room, if you stepped back a meter and turned in any direction you would be looking into a room.
