    CEC Support goes Next Gen as T’Lakis-Ornero Dispute Escalates
    Dualis News Network, Always First on the Scene for the Greater Ferros Cluster (12/09/7016):

    This morning Gareth Farthing announced Sidereal Dawn Systems (SDSys) attained the next defense contract with Commercial Equity Council, out doing Zakia X and long-standing contractor Trade Guild. As of next week, SDSys will rollout the new F-4AL Soa 5th Generation fighters to compliment the aging Trade Guild Isanth Type-Zero XX fleet currently employed by the Council.

    Farthing pledges that first 6 of the 20 ordered F-4ALs will enforce the T’Lakis-Ornero disputed region of S51-750-12-A, in response to the recent strikes in Yune II and Haerus III. These strikes have been suspected by the CEC advisors to be from Ornero Synthesis utilising older Isanth fighters and represent the largest incident since Ornero’s claim on the Rhelon Ring Systems began in 7000.

    “Luckily the attack on the mining bases on Haerus III and fabrication plants Yune II took place during Labour Day, however it has been costly to their exports, an important part of T’Lakis Industries’ economy.” Farthing mentioned in the press release earlier today.

    “We urge both T’Lakis and Ornero to maintain civility through this time as the Council continues to review the newly reclaimed Ornian Archive data from Jove VII and the corresponding data from the T’Vyt era of the T’Lakis company. As the data to the claim is 200 years old, we ask you to persevere until our announcement within the next couple of months.”

    An anonymous source from within the CEC claimed that this formality will not result well, with both sides of the dispute very intent with owning the Rhelon Ring worlds. What it presents however is a way to delay any more serious attacks until the completion of all of the F-4ALs to enforce the T’Lakis-Ornero border. These actions taken by CEC also bring into the light the importance of impartiality and the advocacy of peace. The deployment of this fleet however jeopardises this and places into question the leadership of the Council. Only time will tell how this will be resolved.

    On the other side of the deployment, SDSys has gained more press since their acquirement of the latest CEC defense contract both positive and negative with more and more people now considering the change from the Trade Guild to be beneficial as R&D efforts have begun to stagnate. On the other hand backlash has remained strong due to the approved retirement of 20 of their factories and 3 of their research facilities within the Dualis Nebula. This pushes an estimated 600,000 people out of their jobs. Despite SDSys’ comprehensive severance package of paying 70,000,000C per quarter for 2 years and lifetime career assistance to each employee in the Dualis Nebula being the largest the company has ever employed, such a cost to pay for a risky venture into the unstable Rhelon Ring region through their ‘Quartermaster’ project is one that has many people concerned, putting immediately into question the longevity of their contract with the CEC.

    Jacob Euylz - CEO of SDSys - said in the New Navajo III press conference soon Farthing’s announcement that “by putting a neutral presence within the Rhelon Ring - with the help of the CEC - we can help stabilise the region and through building the Quartermaster Shipyard, we can rapidly increase our output of more developed technologies, such as the F-4AL.”

    The pride and joy of SDSys - the F-4AL “Soa” - has been welcomed by the Trader Defense Initiative as a well needed replacement to the aged Isanth Type-Zero XX fleet currently employed by the CEC.

    “Although it has proven to be a reliable backbone of the TDI, the Isanths have since been outmatched in recent engagements with the likes of Lox-Kinne-Ko forces, requiring more units to sent out to every incident.” said Admiral Freala Grant at the conference.

    “What was sought after was a more powerful fighter, capable of mobilising to the location without the need of a mothership to jump the squadrons to the battlespace. The new design of the Soa Fighters enable increased mobility and heavier firepower to be delivered to more of the galaxy. With the new development of ‘Overdrive’ Engines and Multispectral Jamming, the capacity of these fighters to also act as interceptors can broaden the military prowess of our forces to come.”

    Reports from our sources within the CEC further stipulate that these improvements were made a cost, one that may jeopardise the true combat effectiveness of the next phase of the fleet. The high performance of the dual rapid-fire, overloaded Antimatter Cannons purportedly yield unstable power draws, especially under the heavy loads such as during interception runs, with the Overdrive Engines and Jamming engaged, occasionally leading to complete lack of control. SDSys however seems to pride itself in its ships and work closely with the test pilots to help further develop the ship.

    If you wish to test pilot the F-4AL “Soa” Fighter, we have been authorised by the TDI and SDSys to release a virtual approximation of the ship to the public and can be found on this page to be used with any suitable simulator platforms.

    ================================================TL;DR?============================

    This is my first upload to Starmade Dock and the first ship I finished since the pre-warp days XD. I wanted to base the ships I make around a story line, which I will endeavour to make better as time goes on. To also try and change things up, a news format seems like a good idea to introduce ships, but I have not been able to get the appropriate screenshots to fit in with this style yet... :(

    This ship the the 3rd in the series so far, and was initially a side project because the other 2 ships were taking too long. Hopefully the others will be released soon, as to continue the story. For the background to the factions, I will figure out how to get it out there so half the words I'm blurting out isn't all that nonsensical.

    If you managed to read this far, thanks and if there's any improvements to the design that can be done, let me know!
