Thoughts:
I've realized recently that most of my ships lack standardized interiors. Each has a different reactor, some of which aren't even visible. What's more, there are no dedicated computer cores on my ships, either. I also find myself making other doodads by hand, and I've realized that I really need a repository of standardized copy-paste templates that fill these gaps. I've tried to keep most of them adaptable enough to fill multiple roles, but still easy to copy-paste.
No actual templates are included in the download, but if there is a demand for them, I'll include them in an update.
Furthermore, I'm running into a creative block after about 30 different pieces. So, if any of you have ideas for any systems, please PM me. I'll credit you when I release the system part.
Without further ado, let's jump into the different parts included in this download.
(I just realized that sounded really Saber-esque.)
Standard Reactors
6 Versions
Tiny > Side > Small > Medium > Large > Huge
Large Version Pictured
Lore:
These standard hyperfusion reactors generate a decent amount of power, suitable for most ships. Even better, they come in many different shapes and sizes, making them a popular choice for both fleet ships and independent traders.
Bio-Chemical Power Cells
4 Versions
Tiny > Small > Medium > Large
Medium Version Pictured
Lore:
These power generation units use the slow chemical reaction of bacterial breakdown of several types of molecules to generate a slow, steady power flow. Most commonly seen on freighters, dropships and civilian craft, due to their low volatility and easily procurable fuel.
Plasma Reactors
3 Versions
Small > Medium > Large
Large Version Pictured
Lore:
Often seen in high-power setups, plasma reactors are very power-dense, but are rarely seen due to their high heat production. Most ships that use these have many exposed heat lines and are almost never larger than a destroyer, although occasionally a few of these will been seen in tandem, allowing larger ships to benefit from their power production.
Radiant Reactors
3 Versions
Small > Medium > Large
Medium Version Pictured
Lore:
Extremely powerful, low heat production, and small size make these advanced reactors some of the most lucrative on the market. Unfortunately, only one can be run at a time, limiting your overall power production to about 2 million units/sec. Often seen on cloaking vessels, or just about anything trying to cram as much power into as little space as possible.
Plasma Stacks
4 Versions, Modular Design
Single Segment > Vertical > Small > Medium
Small Version Pictured
Lore:
These massive matter/antimatter reactors continuously slam ionized gases and anti-gases into each other, producing incredible power ratios. Unfortunately, this outstanding performance comes at a cost - they're large, produce a lot of heat, and usually must be custom-fitted to the ship they're added to. You'll almost never see one on anything less than a capital ship, and even when you do, it will always be the smallest version - the Vertical Module.
Note:
These are designed to be fully modular, and you should use the single segment as the base for your reactor core - feel free to use the multiple-segment versions, but I strongly encourage you to build your own stacks. The result will probably end up being a lot better.
Capacitor Cells:
3 Versions
Small > Medium > Large
Large Version Pictured
Lore:
Standard modular capacitors, often wired together. Almost every ship out there bigger than a fighter uses these - although many times they are integrated into the hull.
Computer Cores
3 Versions
Small > Medium > Large
Large Version Pictured
Lore:
Something's got to run all those fancy systems, make you a cup of coffee, fight off twelve pirate squadrons, take a virtual ski trip and write forum posts at the same time, and that's your computer core. Most ships are too small to have a dedicated core (or more than one), and instead rely on the standard integrated holo-interface computers and BOBBY AI. However, most destroyers and larger have one of these in addition, increasing their combat potential.
Full Board:
Note: There are also some other doodads on the second layer, most notably a pair of raised plant growers.
Note 2: All of these look much better actually walking beside them instead of a badly shot top down .jpg. Trust me.
I've probably spent far to long on this, but nevertheless, enjoy and best of luck from Bephinius-Per Yards!
