Fragmented graphics, This was working before

    Well, under an hour from the update, there is a huge problem:



    One moment it was a collage of slender lines, and now, they are still there but fragmented when you zoom out. Wasn't happening before the update, and my view distance was set at 1500.

    this last picture was months before the patch (as more blocks were added or changed) but it's to show that this isn't normal:

    Well, what I did was backup before updating my version, however since the ship is still technically there you can save it a a blueprint and past it into an older version of starmade to which it is still compatible...

    We're seeing this with several AMD APUs. Reinstalling the current driver seems to be the best fix. I'm pulling two AMD based laptops out of the mothballs to look into this further. Anyone with useful info please chime in at any time.

    Doing the same myself. I skipped a driver update a few SM-updates back because of instability. AMD and Schine have both patched beyond that point so I'm making this cranky but lovable A6 update its everything. I have a backup of the old driver's installer so i can roll back if the newest driver turns out to be a dud.

    support.amd.com quite honestly. i use raptr to help me manage my games aka AMD Gaming Evolved. i even use it on my nvidia based machine because it can optimize simpler games when i force them to use the intel gpu.

    Can someone rollback their driver to version 14.12? So far no issues on that version.
    Try the game with occlusion culling ON. This _might_ work.

    However:
    When that fails we can move on to the 14.14 driver and disabling G_USE_VBO_MAP.
    It seems that setting defaults to true. On both systems using ATI GPUs that work we noticed it was set to false. Or SmilingDemon did. I just managed to confirm it. TO make that change you need to get to the starmade folder and find the settings.cfg file. Press CTRL-F and slap 'g_use_vbo_map'. Or you can search for it manually. Either way verify that it is set to FALSE. If it was set to false then the rollback and culling enabled should have either worked or made stuff WAY worse.
