Your Favorite Decoration Block

Share here your favorite decorative block, and some examples of ways you use it!


I will start, mine is Personal Computers, and here is why:

The back of the block has some amazing textures, and perfect to stack another display ontop of:

And the sides have a great little vent on the bottom that you can put to use in many creative ways!

Even though I use pipes and metal mesh/grills more, and love both the server blocks, the Personal Computer is just so useful to me, that I would have to say that it is one of my favorites for decorating.
2nd Fav is Fans. FAAAAAANNNNNNSSS. Best patch so far.

I like the non functional sides of rail blocks the most.

There's so many I love...
I'd say, crystal hull, probably.
Floaty translucent holo screens, ship displays, better windows, small glass barriers, glass furniture...
And so many other creative possibilities with it.

Metal grill.
Examples of use are actually shown in the OP spoiler pictures. I also use them as catwalks and ventilation covers. Decorative uses that include allowing light through for even more versatility. It generally looks great at any distance and provides an improved sense of depth and detail. I only wish metal grill came in all shapes and colors, as well as a door version.

Metal Mesh is similar and OK, but I like the lines of the grill better.

Activation Gates (or the other gates but meh station only), sexy side pattern and enough detail on its face to work for different uses.

Its one of the newer blocks, which makes me think about the new texture stuff kupu is working on and it makes me a little *** thinking about what is to come.

I really like using circuits and/or motherboards to give flat surfaces a more textured feel. That, and the top end of conduit blocks. Similar to grey advanced armor, but different enough to be used for some nice variation in surfaces.

Do thrusters count?

Yeah I would say thrusters myself. Not only do they look great for exterior and interior detail but they are functional as well. I used them for conduits on floors, ceilings, I line my doors and windows with them, the actual thruster part makes an amazing stove.

Ice, because all those cool lighting tricks that can be done with it for making things like reactors and thrusters, hoping it eventually gets a wedge variant for corners! ^~^

Yes if you could now predict maybe different colour plex and blast doors, wedge consoles, some plain (non medical) cupboards, display monitors and maybe some kitchen blocks, and maybe picture slabs, that would be awesome to the power of seventeen.
