This is the new thread (permanent) for Xanthos Interstellar Starfleet, the new iteration of Xanthos on Starmade. We have a server we call home and a few ships under construction. The faction is also stronger now than it was when we were just Xanthos.
Here are the basic rankings for the faction, should you be assigned to my command, the Aerianis. (you can request a command placement)
Pilot First Class > Pilot Second Class > Pilot Third Class > Command Pilot > Captain > Admiral > Grand Admiral
Rank Info:
Pilot First-Third Class: Recruit level perms, can request command assignments by commander, or by ship
Command Pilot: Gains personal callsign, command own squadron; selects First-Third Class pilots to fill out own squadron's members. First command Rank.
Captain: Gains own command, permission to have a ship commissioned for them, with custom interior color scheme and lighting color (8 different choices), select own crew and Command Pilots, gains personal emblem for command ship, gains permission to promote Pilots assigned to their Command up to Command Pilot
Admiral: Ability to command all Captains, Star Count on Admirals determine the authorisation over other Admirals (Stars given by Twylite_Fang or Ketiryu as earned, can be removed, and demotions enacted if need be) Ability to promote all lower ranks, up to Captain. Twylite_Fang, _Frosty_, GoldenLiar2 and Ketiryu reserve the right to promote Captains to Admiral.
Grand Admiral: Overall Commanding Officer of a Divison of Xanthos Interstellar Starfleet; operates as a leader of the faction on a server; the success or failure of the faction there is up to that person.
How to change your command: If you wish to change squadrons but not command, fill in the details of your command in the Command Office for your command, in a display module set aside for it. Your Commander will review your request, and if there is a position free with your requested squadron, you will be transferred.
Also, there are certain rules to follow as part of Xanthos:
1: No attacking other factions for the fun of it. That makes Xanthos enemies for no reason. Attacks on other factions must be cleared with commanding officer first; unauthorised fire missions on other factions will result in a demotion and/or kicking from the faction.
2: Do not attempt to command above your station. If you have given an order and a higher member has redacted it, the order STAYS redacted. The only exception is Cross-Section Xanthos members.
3: If a Grand Admiral gives an order, it is for good reason. Follow the order, and you will find out why it was given. Orders given by them aren't exactly able to be missed. They're on a special board set one block back, which only they can access.
4: If you are given an assignment, and you are ranked as Pilot First Class, it means that somebody in command has noticed that you are unassigned, and has given you a posting.
5: ONLY use your assigned fighter. This is the fighter with your name on it, after the fighter classification. Example: Stormclaw Class Starfighter (Your_Name). Information regarding this can be found in the Battle Chamber of Stormwatch Station. Your commander will come and fetch you if he or she is online, or they will have another commander escort you to your command ship. Your command ship contains your fighter. Use it only when in battle, and it will serve you well. Battle also includes drills. Drills will be scenarios, in some cases, or actual battles, fought against pirates. If you are online and you see faction chat light up with "All Hands, General Quarters!" go to your fighter and prepare for battle.
