Would a Rapid Pulse with Auto Fire Logic work as an AMS?

    (AMS) = Anti Missile System.

    In any event if someone used the cheapest and fastest setup for both the logic and the rapid pulse would it work? If so it would be a handy counter to those huge swarms of missiles. Still would need a few Machine Gun turrets to keep the number of missiles down and from lagging through your pulsers but it would be interesting to see if it worked.

    Pulses do not destroy missiles. Only cannons destroy missiles.

    Would be nice though if all weapons aside from missiles could kill missiles. Making it so weapons like the Damage Pulse, Damage Beam and the Cannon could all be used instead of just one of them would be interesting for AMS systems.

    Beams are Hit-scan. PD is accurate. While beam does not hit near as often as C/C per second, it does hit a lot. Just seems kinda broken when you can just sweep beams across the sky and wipe out all missiles (cause yes., even play fired weapons on the main ship can shoot down missiles, even the hand gun can).

    Also, Pulse would be too laggy/buggy and would work anyways.
