Be careful when testing things that explode, they may explode in any wrong direction, time, place, or fizzle out.

    1) Don't land anything larger than an isanth on planets. Ever.

    2) Landing anything bigger than an isanth on a planet will make your computer spontaneously combust.

#1 is especially true on servers, ffs.

    • Use Notepad++ to look at what the game configs display for block properties and for slaved weapons/effects, instead of what the wiki's tell you.

    • Don't be afraid to make docked reactors and docked shield injectors. The only hard thing is making them compact as possible, which usually you don't need to care so much about. Another tip is having a shield supply beam give you shields can remove the "shields down, 10 seconds" penalty and start your recharge immediately.

    • And about their only advantage too, unless you count the fact that you are also making the enemy kill their own shields to kill you an advantage.

    • Docked entities do not gain the mother-ships defensive effects.
This can be an issue where you have full ion effect and yet when things hit your turrets it puts the full amount of damage on your mother-ships shields, robbing you of your shields

    Dock your fucking shit, assholes.
    • Never dock shit that has turrets or anything that has
(a thing docked to a thing that is docked to the ship, like a turret barrel to a turret base that is on the ship)
because it destroys everyones frames and pings because of how the game handles collision boxes. (will remove this when it is fixed sometime in 2018)

You can never have too much dakka. In fact, you can never have enough dakka, because having enough dakka implies that any more would be too much, and we've already established you can never have too much dakka!

There are few problems in the universe that cannot be solved with a 100,000 damage, 32 raduis warhead.
Warhead on the tip, push defensive effect, logic clock, 1:1 cannon cannon system, and an AI set on select target and ship mode.

When you find yourself logging in more often than your faction leader and the server owner its time to stop kidding yourself and find a new home.
