Started work on this yesterday by translating a more or less acurate 2D image of the ship into the game as a silhouette and have been using other referance material to flesh out the depth. I will likely be omitting the carriers attatched to the sides thanks to personal taste and OCD(one vessel is wider than the other).

Ship is being constructed near a shop and has a simple proof of concept vessel perched on top of the center section in front of the core for an idea of the scale. The smaller ship measures 7x7x28 roughly. SDF-1's current stats can be seen on the left and I fully expect this build to exceed 200k blocks when finished as the only construction finished is the starboard bow section. Main hull is roughly 15% done.
The bow section will house several small fighter, salvage and repair vessels and the superstructure will bristle with the largest turrets I can manage to try and match the lore weapons best. The core section which is not yet covered by outer hull is surrounded by redundant shield rigged "ships" that are then surrounded by hardened hull. When the ship is spawned, cores will need to be flown into this area and the rigs assembled on site.
