Why will only four mining lasers fire at a time?

I have s ship with 22 mining lasers, but I only ever see four beams. Even after I increased my power capacity to be over the usage I have when mining, it still appears that only four beams will fire at a time...

You may not be able to see the beams, but they could still be there. Check settings to see how many beams can be drawn at a time.

It's also possible your beam barrels are touching, so you technically have four barrels. Not sure, but it'll be pretty obvious if you select the computer and look around. =)
