where do you get insperation for your interiors?

everytime i build a new ship i cant help but make the inside look like a hotel? my current build is a military style light carrier, but looks like a damn luxury cruise liner on the inside...

im drawing blanks when it comes to looks for bridge, hallways, and meeting rooms.

I get mine from the textures themselves. I generally build small, so I have to take advantage of the textures to add detail.

In your case, I'd recommend fewer lights. Darker areas really "sober" a build. A few areas where red lights replace white lights. Green blocks placed in areas with low light, so that they look military-olive. Also, for military, think: cramped. So you'll want to tighten hallways and rooms.

Naval ships and sci-fi sets. BSG and Star Trek (TOS) have been big influences for me. My transporter rooms definitely follow a TOS theme.
