I've been on this site for ages, but still I'm a 'new member'. Strange.
I guess it goes for most posts, maybe different ones for popularity too?

It's based on your activity on the new site. So no matter how long you've been a member on the old site, you won't get any ranks or new labels 'till you reach a certain point of activity on the new site.

No clue what the exact requirements are however...

I think it goes for points. I have the most points, and I'm the only Active member.

No, really?
A few days ago Schema himself still had the "New Member" rank, which I thought was amusing. Now his title is "Ancient Member."

Personally, I'd like "Senior Redshirt" as a custom rank.

Title customisation is a staff only privilege, and is exclusive to the forums. We are still working on trophies, titles and points, plus a bunch of other things. There will most likely be more colourful titles later on, but for now we have bigger issues to address.

Normally it is, but moderators and above can set whatever they want :P
