Weapons on a rail system?

I've only really just returned to StarMade, when I updated and I noticed the rail system update, now I haven't really touched the system so I have no idea on how it works, but I was wondering, could you put a cannon or missile pods on the rails and still be able to fire them from the main ship? Similar to say a concealed weapons system, having them on the inside of the ship, and when you are getting into combat, activate them, the sides would slide out with the weapons on the moving parts with the cannons now visible.

Nope, you either need an AI or enter the docked entity yourself via up/down arrow keys. It's also possible to fire weapons using wireless logic, but this way you can't aim.
