Weapons Computer not in hotbar when connected to core

After buying my ship from a shop my weapons computer is not in my hotbar even when it is connected to the ship core. I have attempted to connect it by replacing the weapons computer, but it is still not connecting.

..Open your weapons menu, select the computer, then hit a number. that number is now bound to your guns.
