Useful shortcuts on starmadedock.net

This is just a quick thread to inform about some neat shortcuts and tweaks that exist on this site.

First of all, the entirety of the bb-code helppage; there are many codes you cannot access through the editor here, which really help structure posts. (especially the anchor tag)

Secondly, URL shortening. Obviously you can use URL-shortening services for that, but that is both boring and suspicious(you don't know where the link leads until you click it, and it's too late), so here I present a way to shorten the 4 basic URLs, that'll occurr here:

1. URL to a user's profile
   the URL usually is http://starmadedock.net/members/<username>.<userID>
   however, http://starmadedock.net/members/<userID> works too, and is shorter, as the userID usually consists of 6 characters, whereas the username can be of any length
   
   
2. URL to a thread
   the URL usually is http://starmadedock.net/threads/<threadname>.<threadID>
   just as with profile-links, http://starmadedock.net/threads/<threadID> works too, and is WAY shorter, as threadnames tend to get very long
   optionally one can append a /page-<page> to that to link to a specific page
   
   
3. URL to a post
   the usual URL to a post is http://starmadedock.net/threads/<threadname>.<threadID>/#post-<postID>
   obviously that URL is very long, however http://starmadedock.net/posts/<postID> works fine too, even across multiple pages of a thread
   
   
4. URL to community content
   the usual URL is http://starmadedock.net/content/<contentname>.<contentID>
   again, http://starmadedock.net/content/<contentID> works too

There also are easy ways to quickly acquire a list of the community content by someone:

http://starmadedock.net/content/authors/<userID>
This URL will list all community content posted by the user associated with the userID.​

I shall update this post as I find more easy shortcuts.
