The game already has a (somewhat) usable copy/paste function, could we use that to move blocks around with logic to create a holodeck?

As in, say we make a 40x40x40 cube empty room, even make it black with the yellow grid. Off to the sides hidden from view are premade "rooms". Use some logic to select which room gets selected, hit the Holodeck on button, and the blocks from the selected premade room are copied, removed, and pasted in the holodeck room. Turn it off, logic copies/deletes/pastes the room back where it came from.

Rails could work, as long as you don't mind "loading time". Could work though, put some logic on the door so that it closes while changing, time out how long it takes the rail to change the room, and have the door wait that long before re-opening.

This reminds me of a Star-Trek Episode with capt. Archer's Warp5 Enterprise ship.

They once had a ship from the future in their hangar which had many rooms at one position in space.
The result was a smaller ship size and a lower distance from the centre of mass.

Perhaps this would allow you to construct a RP ship with training halls, swimming halls, ... with less usage of space and also a lower hull size.

Did anybody said no-clipping from rail-docked entities was a bad thing? We had what the op was suggesting!
