Uploading Blueprints to Public Servers

I've never tried adding blueprints to a public server. I want to use my own custom corvette class ship. Is there are kind of barrier or procedure to doing it that would seem unusual. Are blue prints always local plus what's on the server?

save your single player creation with the blueprint system (press u to access).
go online on chosen server, access the catalogue again (same as before) choose "upload to server"
should be easy enough
Access catalogue, save, go online, access catalogue, upload, gather materials, spawn ship

Basicly: yes you can upload local a blueprint onto a server.
But there may be rules that say otherwise e.g. on many roleplay server.
