Update killed Ubuntu

    Hello! the v. 1863 update ... the updater still works but game will not launch, anybody working on this?

    If you copy the .so files in /starmade/native/linux from your old starmade back up into the same directory in the new version it "Should - Might" (TM) fix it. Specifically the libopenal.so file. I got that tip from Tarusol .

    you just need to swap out the files from your backup zip. or you could grab the .1852 update 20141203_233000 from one of the mirrors and just pull the needed files from there. or you know what, i'll just zip em up and upload them here. but to be certain - use your own files. it would be more secure and less risky.

    downloading and using these files is NOT suggested.
    this is a slap patch fix. BADBADBAD

    the real fix (thanks Seoson) is to update your glibc. but the branch with that update is still labeled experimental by debian.
    which means canonical won't touch it. so the slap patch might be your only work around for now.
