No joke I think Schema is giving the update extra bugfix time purely so he can release it on the 25TH. This explains the very sparse news on NPCs-can't open your presents before Xmas as it is bad luck and bad form.
(and yes I know its because coding a very big and game-changing update is rather difficult. Still-merry Xmas when it comes in 14 days.)
