why did this update backup my files but reset my world cant even load back my world. would appreciate some help.

Latest update was just a hotfix, it shouldn't have affected anything outside the files it fixed.
I suggest that this is a client issue, not an update issue. If you have a problem with your client, I'd suggest posting log files here, just so that those on the know about these things may take a look and possibly find out what the problem is about.
