It\'s a tight fit but the Hammer will be able to carry several UCC Main Battle Tanks.

I think all but the forward most docking ports can carry the tank, the barrel will clip into the wall and cause problems if you attempt it.

It\'s still a prototype so it does not even have an official name yet, nor did I bother getting stats but here\'s the download as requested: http://star-made.org/node/15176

Most of my work on the Hammer has been internal but today I decided to tackle the fin/tower so I finnaly have something worth showing off

    Notes:

The four sets of secondary docking ports on top landing pads have been shifted to be center with the main docking port and expanded so the Hammer can now carry up to eight Goshawk Heavy Fighters. These ports still overlap each other one meter so discretion will be advised when using them. My heavy fighters can land there without overlapping but if any craft takes up the full length of the docking area then two won\'t fit without clipping.

It is equipped with two direct fire cannons (planned) two sets of missiles (not planned but I had a lot of room in the belly of the ship to fill in) and two quick lock torpedo tubes.

I\'m still not sure how I feel about the three sets of windows, in this picture it looks fine but from other angles it\'s kind of \"meh\" I like having windows in the crew quarters though... it might look better when the ship gets all its badges.

I still have a ton of interior work to be done, the med bay, galley and mess hall are finished as well as most of the crew quarters have been built but not decorated. The flight deck and all of it\'s access airlocks have been built as well but the rest of the wing section is still mostly hollow. I did decide to add a full cargo hold with separate door and docking ports. This is primarily for keeping auxiliary craft off the combat flight deck, I\'m keeping my repair drone and a shuttle down there for now. The rear wings are also waiting to be plastered with turrets.

(My Destroyer has also had all of it\'s turrets replaced with new versions... well all but the two 15-5s and main gun, I\'m still messing with the main guns before I\'ll consider re-uploading it.)

Construction crews are busy at work. The \"forklift\" is designed to carry L1 cargo pods while fitting in a L0 docking port. The Construction freighter is kind of a failed project, I built it to house construction materials so I could make them available no mater where I am building. Lag issues were forcing me to build away from my home base and thus all my resources, I\'m currently camping out at 2,2,2. I love the look of the freighter but it\'s a little sluggish and to big to dock anywhere but on the upper deck on my Hammer or a M.A.M. mount and seeing as how it contains 100% of my entire stash of hull It would suck to loose it for whatever reason. I decided to make a storage crate instead as that would fit in any cargo bay big enough to have tie downs. Inventory managment is such a pain, I was transferring the items when I decided to snap this picture.

(Actually I have not even touched the Hammer this weekend, I worked on Project M.A.M.M.O.T.H. and built a new M.A.M. as well as a little modification/maintenance to the ship itself.)

((And now I don\'t even like the color scheme on my \"forklift\" or construction pod now that I took this picture))

(((Today {12/18} I buckled down and finished the tower which contains the command deck, captains quarters and two VIP quarters. I\'ve also built all the turret mounts, the wings will hold eight L5 AM2-2 Turrets, eight L5-3 AM4-4 Heavy Turrets, eight L3-3 Duel STS Missile Racks, and Two L15-5 AM2-4 Heavy Turrets. Oh yeah and I added a brig in the belly of the ship as well.)))

The UCS decided it was about time to build a new combat capable Corvette. Not every situation demands the dispatch of a gunboat and the Stiletto just isn\'t making the cut.

Thus the Prototype for a new Corvette came off the production line. Known as the Rapier it\'s fast and reasonably armed.

The pirates must have intercepted our communications regarding the test flight of a new prototype, they came out to greet us with such force rarely seen these days. This was however the perfect opportunity to give the Rapier a proper shakedown. The Lead Pirate Gunship and it\'s eight or nine fighter escorts were no match for this LC class ship.

Our engineers will have to give the prototype a thorough inspection of the Rapier before she assigned a serial number and put into production. Shes a fairly small ship so that should take to long

The Rapier is my attempt at a more \"sleek\" or \"blade like\" ship while still following UCC design doctrine. I\'m not sure how sleek the ship actually is but I\'m very happy with the final design. I really do enjoy making smaller ships as you can conceptualize and build them in no time. I wasn\'t sure at first how I would feel about the taller L5 turrets instead of my L4 deckguns but I think they do look alright.

The Rapier is almost identical in size to my Dagger Gunboat, actually it\'s slightly larger. I\'m not sure but the gunboat might have higher firepower and definitely a smaller thrust to mass ratio. The gunboat also still needs to be refit with the new line of turrets.

I had designated the Rapier but then I remembered the next update will be adding new blocks to play with so I am holding off. I also won\'t release any ships until I can give them a full look over with the new angled blocks we are getting. Anyway I already made the promo shots and gathered stats.

The Rapier was designed to be a sleek fast attack corvette and has a Thrust to mass ratio just under 3:1 at 2.97 (not counting turrets) She is fairly well armed but while being slightly larger than a Dagger Gunboat has lower DPS and less shields (Around 2200 DPS so she\'s not a replacement for the Dagger and exactly why the Dagger gets classified as a gunboat).

Just look at those massive engines!

Here you can see the Rapier in between an A4 Dagger Gunboat and the Stiletto Light Corvette. Both the Dagger Gunboat and Stiletto Light Corvette have a larger sensor pack than comes equipped on the Rapier. The skinny cabin and weapon placement didn\'t allow for a larger sensor pack to be equipped.

This is the first time I\'ve brought every ship from the fleet together for one picture. Some of these ships have never been seen before. In the bottom left corner is all four variants of the Lark, the A4 has an increased body length and turrets mounted on the fins. To the left of the Swallow is an un-designated long range scout with radar jamming capabilities. This is also the first photo showing the Hammers finalized hull (baring minor cosmetic changes) and she is fully loaded with turrets, my goal is to push to finish the interior this weekend.

    The Goshawk Mk2 Heavy Fighter

The Goshawk Mk2 is the pinnacle of fighter technology. The bulky gunpods have been replaced with hard mount wings, which carry more guns, and she now packs nearly twice the firepower over the original with only a small trade off in range. The Wings are independently shielded and capable of attacking with deadly pinpoint accuracy. This improvement also allows the body of the Goshawk to be merged and now she is equipped with better thrust, power, and shields.

Unfortunatly not, with all these graphical tweaks and engine overhulls Starmade just does not run smooth for me anymore which makes doing anything a hastle.

The changes to the thurst system also means every single one of my ships also now needs to be refit to achieve their proper performance.

Well a bit of good news, I\'ve tweaked the graphic settings and with the rendered segments low enough I the game will run smooth enough for me to play and enjoy the game once again. 750 segments seems to go for enough for me and my little server although I have not made a trip to the sector where my four largest ships are docked (Hammer, Scycle, Mammoth, Shipyard).

The Rapier has now been fully refit with new engines. These new engines provide more thrust with less thruster modules so therefore leaves more room for power and shields.
