Turrets hitting the ship they're mounted on

    While constructing a turret for my ship, I tested if it would hit the ship it was docked to or if the shot would just go through the ship without damage since it's part of the same structure. If I recall correctly that happened before the weapon update, but now the shot actually hits the ship the turret is mounted on. And to clarify what I mean: I don't mean the blocks bumping into the ship when turning the turret, I'm talking about the shots it fires hitting the ship.

    Is there a way to make the shots go through the ship, or do I have to make some sort of blockage that prevents the turret from being able to aim at the ship? Bobby AI will probably shoot the ship if an enemy is at a certain angle so that's why I'm asking.

    If I recall correctly this is by design, but does no damage. This was made this way in a recent update. I do not think its a bad idea, it force us to build more realistic builds with unobstructed turrets.

    Now, the AI the turrets use are really stupid for actually firing on the ship, but its surely a placeholder till the AI revamp, which I believe might as well come with the Universe Update.

    Confirmed.
    - This change was made after both power 2.0 and the weapons update.
    - Turrets can be blocked by your own ship.
    - Turret weapons will not damage your ship or other docked entities.
    - Explosive weapons (missiles for example) are NOT rendered inert on impact and can still kill you if you are outside the ship.
