Turret pvp

So I was messing around on a server and i was in a Daedulus and the other guy was in a Star destroyer and he had turrets. I shot all the turrets(they had shields) I drained the turrets shields and it all the sudden I could destroy the other ship perfectly even though moments before I was unable because the dauedulus weapon systems suck... I guess the ship took the turrets sheild instead of its sheild or something. Only I did it multiple times and it still worked. Btw mods can you hide this thread so no one abuses this glitch because if another ship has turrets you can destroy them super easily.

Is it possible that the guy\'sturrets were using the main ship\'s shield systems? Or does that only work with power transfer. Or am I retarded.
