Trouble with linking warpgates

I'm trying to create a 2 way warpgate group between 2 systems. However, when I fire my marker gun at one of the receiving gate computers nothing happens, in fact I think I may have accidentally linked the gate to itself. I flew through the gate (even though it's supposed to receive ships and not send them) and it deposited me in the same place where the gate was. Is it possible to reset the gate so I can try setting the destination again?

remove the warpgate computer, and place it again. As long as the other warpgate isn't loaded while that is done, the connection shouldn't break.
