    Hi everyone, first post here.

Ive been playing a couple of days in singleplayer , getting the feel of everything and I plucked up the courage earlier to travel to a nearby station to check it out.

Its owned by the traders guild but I cant interact with it in any way. Cant land or get in.
Not sure what function it serves atm.

Is there something obvious I am missing ?

    Thanks in advance. - Lantril

There are plan to implement factions and player/faction relations, however those aren't in the game yet.
You can only trade with those stations atm.
Pirate ones, black holes and stars are what youve got to watch out for.
    Hope this helps!
    Any more questions :?

p.s singleplayer is great for learning the game, but the game really stars when you join a multiplayer server : )

Hi thanks for the reply :)

I was thinking I could trade with the station but it wouldnt let me in the door.

I could interact with a gravity pad and immediately fell of the station heh but that was it, I just got
a message about not being in the right faction when I tried to get in the door.

I will join multiplayer, just a question of finding the right one, would hate to put in a lot of time only for it
    to go offline.

    Thanks

To trade with them you have to use the shop interface, press 's' (i think) when you get close to it.
You can't go in the doors because you arent in the trading guilds faction

This game has a very steep learning curve, ive been playing it for almost 2 years and I still learn new things every day!

By default B opens the shop screen when your within around 150 meters of the stations shop module.

As for servers to join I would try to apply for NFD Build. Its a safe environment to learn and build but tends to crash every so often due to all the builds and certain peoples rail experiments. (It has gotten better about the crashing though)

NFD Build just upgraded to higher RAM and a better data center today- it should be significantly more stable now.

Most trade stations have a shop module, allowing you to trade with them. However, one (Trade Station Gamma or Eta, I think) lacks one.
