1. make healing ships not pieces of crap - when a block is "destroyed" it simply becomes invisible and ethereal. healing lasers would also have massive aoe but only repair 1 block at a time. problem solved.
2. boarding parties - teleporters linking to other ships' teleporters and the ability to automatically switch gravity fields whhen breaking and entering. also handheld weapons.
3. drones - another kind of weapon/module. creates a copy of the ship it has docked to it, using up power when it does and spawning another when the current one dies. the spawned ship would have a bobby ai instead of a core and die in 1 hit. size is severely limited needing hundreds of connected modules to spawn even remotely moderate sized ships. make this happen dammit >
4. railguns - rate of fire is tiny, projectile speed is infinite, damage is medium, range is medium low and power consumption is very large. in other words... interesting.
5. capital ships - only one ship in a faction can be classed as a capital. capital ships can be docked to by ships that have ships docked to them (wut) capital ships can have everything a station can, and can share power and buffs damage with any nearby ships of its faction including its self (only happens when there are ships of its faction nearby)
what do you guys think? anything i should modify/add/change/discard/tweak/twerk?
