The Shackles is a loose collection of Free Captains who see the profit in forming a type of “Entente”. Free Captains are “gentlemen of fortune”, pirates, buccaneers, corsairs, and privateers who seek to release those nations calling themselves “civilized” of their abundant wealth. Not a nation in the strictest sense, The Shackles encourages and promotes the pirate way of life, and believes in the betterment of every Free Captain’s standard of living.
But be warned, the life of a Free Captain is not easy or safe, and once you join you can never go back. They will hunt you and try to kill you at every turn. However, you will have much more fun than those who lick the shoes of dictators and wait for battle and glory that never comes.
