I believe that you shouldn't bump posts with useless information, because it doesn't contribute to the forums. It is a self-centered act in which you promote your own content, and not even to vets, we've read this stuff and know that nothings going on here. The entire point of bumping a thread and moving it to the top is to get newbs have haven't seen anything to see yours first.
I'm not sure what you believe. From my point of view you seem to be saying that posts with no contribution to the community that are almost malicious in nature and have very little effort put into them are A.O.K.

Hey guys! Pretty cool to see you all refitting my old rust buckets. Glad that someone is able to use them! It's like seeing a long lost relative. You should definitely post some pics of the aesthetic changes you guys made, I'm interested. Anyway, I do have one old republic ship I actually mostly finished but never released that I'll send your way as well as the last update I did on the valor class. Once I get to my computer I'll send it to you guys. Good luck!
